EPA announced amendments to Standards of Service Fees for Environmental Agents
After surveyed all types of applications approved according to “Environmental Agents Control Act”, Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) reviewed “Fee Collection Standards for Environmental Agents Permission Applications and Testing” and made amendments to Article 2 and 4 thereof based on the price index, data review process and required manpower, equipment and other costs on October 17 of 2018. The purpose is to implement the “user pay” principles.
EPA expressed that, after the previous amendment to “Fee Collection Standards for Environmental Agents Permission Applications and Testing” on September 17 of 2010, the environmental agent permit and license application review process has become network-based. Not only has it resulted in the increase of review costs, but also the application for reduction of customs duty should now be made online. Considering the expenses of expanding the environmental agent management IT system therefore derived, EPA has decided to adjust the review fee.
