“2019 Food Safety Management Review Forum”: Review the implementation performance of Five-Point Food Safety Policy and enhance our country’s food safety management mechanism

To review the implementation results of “Five-Point Food Safety Policy” and enhance our country’s food safety management mechanism, Office of Food Safety, Executive Yuan will hold “2019 Food Safety Management Review Forum” at Socrates Hall, GIS NTU Convention Center (December 10, 2019) in the afternoon. The objective of this forum is to listen to voices from all circles in order to enhance relevant policies and ensure our country’s food safety.

        Office of Food Safety, Executive Yuan not only invited Ministry of Health and Welfare (MOHW); Council of Agriculture (COA), Executive Yuan; Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan; and Ministry of Education to jointly organize this meeting, but also invited members of the Food Safety Board (Executive Yuan), experts, scholars, legislators, citizen groups and industry representatives to participate in this event. Besides, this meeting will be simultaneously broadcasted online at the Facebook Fan Pages of Taiwan Food and Drug Administrator (MOHW) and COA.

Looking back the “2018 Food Safety Management Review Forum”, we have not only received positive feedback from participants with respect to policies related to egg grading, liquid egg ingredient management and adoption of domestic traceable ingredients in school lunch, but also suggestions proactively offered thereby have facilitated the government’s promotion of following policies. This year, participants are welcome to exchange ideas concerning the implementation results and reviews of Five-Point Food Safety Policy”; sanitary management of breakfast food and beverage industry; enhancement on agricultural resource management and promotion of mass spectrometry; school lunch quality improvement and enhancement measures; control and risk communication of chemical substances source with food safety concerns and so on. All circles are welcome to participate in this event to, hand-in-hand, guard the food safety of Taiwan.
