According to the Disaster Prevention and Protection Act promulgated by Presidential decree on July 19, 2000, the Executive Yuan is the juridical competent authority for toxic chemical substance disaster prevention and protection.
Based on the prevention and protection policies approved in the Central Disaster Prevention and Response Council, the Toxic Chemical Substance Disaster Prevention and Protection Plan was approved by the Executive Yuan on February 1, 2002, and the amendments were reported to the Central Disaster Prevention and Response Council for approval three times and sequential promulgation on June 16, 2004, December 31, 2009 and May 12, 2015.
