Chemical Substances Registration

Per Article 30 of Toxic and Concerned Chemical Substances Control Act, "Those that manufacture or import certain quantities of existed chemical substances each year shall apply to register chemical substance data from the competent authority before the specified deadline. Those enterprises of manufacturing or importing new chemical substances shall apply to register chemical substance data from the competent authority 90 days prior to the aforementioned activities. Both abovementioned existed and new chemical substances (it is called registered chemical substance thereafter) shall be allowed to manufacture or import after approval of their registration." The Regulation of New and Existing Chemical Substances Registration was put into effect on December 11, 2014 and was amended on November 23, 2021. According to these, the Ministry of Environment establishes channels for relevant registration operations, such as application for chemical substance registration, registered information upload, search system, annual report system, and channels for follow-up management and response.
